“Here,” Carter opened a pouch on his belt and placed what looked like a tracking chip into my hand. “When you stop moving, Emily will teleport us to your location.”

I tucked the homing device into my pocket and launched into the air. With a thought, my body thickened and lengthened mid-flight from the slender construct of my hybrid appearance, into grace. The true dragon form opened me up to a flood of emotions.  

The acuteness in which I experienced her feelings surprised me. A kaleidoscope of emotions hit me with a physical impact. Nothing one moment. Dizzying panic the next. Focusing and remaining calm became an exceedingly difficult task.&nbs...
