“Once shortly after my Firestorm, I tracked an earl across Europe and Asia. Finally cornered it along the northern coast of Africa in Morocco.”

“What happened?” Benjamin took three steps forward but something made him stop.

“My brother, sister, and I fought him. We destroyed him, but not before he killed my sister. He nearly killed me. Broke one of my wings. My brother lost an eye.”

I looked away from my team and resumed the search to match the seal. It hid the pain the memory of my sister brought to the surface, and kept me focused on the task at hand. Decades later the memory of Moira’s death still took me to the darkest places of misery and despair.
