I held my tongue for several seconds. I did not know if the demon had called Veronica to him in an effort to kill her, or convert her to his side. Could the demon sense the similarity or taste it in her blood? I did not think it worked that way, but until last night I did not believe a dragon could feel anything but repulsion in the presence of a demon. Even a half-blooded one. I continued to weed through that bit of mystery.
