The buzzing refused to stop.
More to the point, it did, but only intermittently, and shortly accompanied by a pounding. The fog of a half dream state burned away under the unrelenting onslaught. As consciousness returned I realized with the exception of my shoes I remained fully dressed and in my own bed. The incessant buzzing and banging came from my front door.
I tried to recall exactly what I ate or drank last night so I could remember to never eat it before bed again. The nightmares hadn’t been worth it, though memories of the guy, or dragon brought a smile to my lips.
