“My people are coming,” he said. “War is coming. That’s what I fear. That’s what we need to face. And if you don’t lead your people out of here your gateway is going to see more death than it’s seen in a thousand years.”

Ada’ii remained silent. T’shan was shocked.

“We will not abandon our home,” she said. “When we leave, there is only one place we will go, and that place is through the Gateway.”
