Chapter 34

“While we are on the journey of life,

Nathaniel squinted into the bright sun. He missed a tree root sticking out of the ground before him and he tripped. He landed on one knee, barely maintaining his balance with his hands bound behind his back, and the fall sent a jarring bolt of pain up through his leg and hip.
