“I think I was wrong… about you… about him, but I’m starting to see things in a different way. I’m still leaving, but I’m not going home. I need to know what Joshua saw when he looked into the Aether, and there’s no way I’ll find that out back home. Besides, maybe there’s some truth to that story about the Holy City.”

Her smile widened as she understood what he was saying.

“Welcome to the free world,” she replied, before closing her eyes once more.
