Lori Temple heard the phone ring, and jolted upright so abruptly that she elbowed Mark in the chin. He had been holding her and comforting her as she sat on the floor of the hotel room, beside herself, for five minutes, and when the phone rang she nearly pushed him off in her hurry to rush back to the bathroom. “I think there’s more!” she called out, closing the door behind her. It took Mark a few seconds to realize she was referring to her nausea and the possibility of throwing up again. He winced when he caught the smell that was starting to merge with the perfume in the room, and walked to the side of the bed to call room service.
