Mark and Laurie had booked a lovely room in a hotel called The Forbidden Palace, conveniently located two blocks away from Leicester Square and centered on romantic themes, depending on the room a guest chose. Examples of rooms ran from the tame to the blush-worthy, and you could only guess what a night in the “Love Domination” suite would include. Aiming for sweetness over scandal, Mark chose the “Romeo & Juliet” suite, which he was pleased upon arriving to find set up with a bed covered in pink rose petals with satin sheets and champagne on the nightstand. The wallpaper was a soft shade of cream, and the floors were carpeted in a similar hue.
