Pizza Pide

Half the people on the streetcar are asleep, slumped against the windows. The same boy Ariadne always sees rests his head on his forearms, his security guard uniform draped over the seat in front. Ari feels strange this morning, but she’s not sure how or why. I’m not myself today, she thinks. 

Behind her, a man talks into his phone, a low murmur in a foreign language.
