We would have been exchanging cute things online right now. We’d be relaxing side by side, each on one end of the couch, too lazy to turn their screen for the other to see. It is the time of checking our phones. The TV would be on just for some background noise. Nothing would seem important. I’d be eager to finish and rest my head on her lap. She’d also be eager to do the same. We would have turned to face each other by now, playing with our feet. I love seeing her in home clothes. I wonder what she’s doing right now. Is she checking her phone? Though now less eager to finish, I suspect. Maybe she is watching a TV show she recently discovered. Has she moved on? Is she on a date right now or is she chatting with some guy? I hope not.
