There is a transition happening in my neighbourhood and I am nostalgic. The football (soccer) field is now a Stand for selling used cars. Foot paths are getting fenced. New buildings are replacing old. I miss some of the people that left the neighbourhood. People whom I never really interacted with. Small shops are giving way to bigger shops. People are repainting their houses. New couples are moving in. I am bumping into pregnant women quite often. They’re taking walks, most times hand in hand with their husbands. Their due dates are visibly near. A new life is on the way. The neighbourhood kids are getting taller. They’re getting a lot smarter than I expected.
