A young woman stood in the dark stand of trees, near a bus stop this All Hallows Evening. Her sunken lifeless eyes stared straight ahead blankly, patiently waiting for a horseless carriage to arrive. These modern prandium’s conveniently brought “them” right to her, so all that remained was waiting silently in her veiled woodland sanctuary.

The carriages would deposit naïve, pitiful creatures who would strike up a conversation with her telling lies or fabricating some fictional accounts of their prowess in the hopes of deception. The truth was in their eyes, the desire and carnal cravings she had witnessed so many times before.
