The door opened and a nurse read a name on a folder. “Mrs. Kelvin?”

   The lady who had been sitting in the waiting room set her magazine down and went into the back.

   Alice sat down, picked up a dog-eared copy of Parents magazine, and began to flip through the pages. The articles were on subjects such as:  How Do You Know If Your Baby is Healthy and Your Pregnancy: What to Expect When You Are Expecting. She started on an article and read.
