Chapter 15

   “Heel ball left, heel ball right, toe, heel, toe, heel and back hinge, and extend and hold,” Alice called, leading her 7 to 10 year-olds through the routine. “And recover, and… curtsey.” Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Dennis as he poked his head through the door.

    He flashed her a smile, and she nodded. It was seven fifty-five.

   “All right, girls, that's it for this evening. I'll see you back this time next week.”

   The girls headed for the side of the room where they began changing into their street shoes.

   “Bye-bye, Miss Alice,” the girls said in turn, as they passed out the door.”...
