“That sounds awfully grim for a song topic,” Alice said.

   “Ya think?” Dennis asked, thinking about the concept. “It's a song that tells a story about the illegal drag races on Buffalo Speedway.”

   “I kinda remember hearing about those,” Alice said.

   “Bobby Scott had a hit with Chain Gang a couple of years ago,” Duane offered. “That was a pretty unpleasant subject for a Top-Forty record.”
