After another six months Willem called and asked if he could pay our way for LA and I to come and visit with his family.  I agreed for LA’s sake. And visit with his family we did. We didn’t stay with him, but in a hotel near his parent’s house, which was out in the country and grand enough to have accommodated us with out any disturbance of their lives.  One day they would take LA, the three of them, another I’d be invited to dinner with him and his parents and his sister – a successful textile trader.
