A second "P" word in Paris is panache which is a flamboyant confidence, style, flair, elan, dash, verve, zest, brio, éclat, vigour or gusto.
On most any day or in most any situation, the word panache is the near-perfect adjective to describe a Parisian. Whether it's adding a fabulous orange scarf to a rather drab gray suit or integrating classic Beethoven as the background music to the Bastille Day light show at the Eiffel Tower, the French definitely espouse a sense of style and flair.
