Georgie Ellis took pride in having been successful in befriending her captors. She had read so many books about hostage situations, the WPC knew what should be done in the event of capture. Except that the Hon Georgiana Lucinda Ponsonby Ellis had always assumed she would be the one negotiating the hostages’ release, not the victim.

She had nevertheless adapted the advice given in her texts, and, somewhat to her surprise, the various Darth Vaders who kept her fed, watered, abluted, toileted and well, had released her to move about her room freely on condition there were no escape attempts from that basement prison.
