‘Well, he’s no loss’.

‘Who’s that Viv?’

‘Jeremy Kyle.’

‘What? Jeremy Kyle’s dead?’

DS Trubshaw laughed.

‘No Don, sadly not. His show has been axed. Someone committed suicide after appearing on a programme’.

‘Really? Well I could imagine committing murder after watching that drivel, but not suicide’.

The two detectives laughed. It was the first time they had chuckled together since the Hull Conference. Viv was tempted to put her hand on May’s as it rested on the gear lever; she thought better of it. Instead the DS looked out of the window as the car sped towards Holme Hill. Here we go again. What next? Where is all this going to end?
