Toad

They hop around prison yards
Escape evil near and far 
Always take it easy 
Never try too hard

No reason to mourn 
No reason to tally score
No reason to fight 
No reason to cry 

The life of a toad 
Just go where the green grass grows 

Little boys wont pick them up 
Afraid they’ll get made fun of 
Young ladies kiss their lips 
In hopes of finding a prince 

But toads don’t give a damn
About warts or royalty 
They wait for a fly to fly by 
Munch on grass by the creek 

What a beautiful life 
For such an ugly thing
