Bright Night 

In the mist of a bright night 
The sad owl sings 
In the soil and the mud
A field mouse has fright 
Fright of the song that rings 

In the crops that flow from sight 
A farmer hums beside a ravine 
The flowers before his eyes 
The beauty of life softly stings
Behold the wise, scared, and alive night 
As it dies and sings
