Chapter Thirty-Two - The Would-Be Grimaldi

Underbrink killed the car’s engine as close to the police precinct as he dared to get. Willow was never one to exaggerate, except when it came to the entire ginger ale is not a soda crap - that meant the situation he found himself in was every bit as dire as his former partner made it out to be. Despite the immediate danger of whoever these people were who were coming for him, he needed to get into the evidence locker in the basement of the precinct and he needed to get that brain before they did.

“Hopefully news doesn’t travel down there like it used to,” Underbrink prayed as he exited the purloined car and headed for the evidence locker. Willow kept pretty tight-lipped about case...
