“Don’t be mad at her - she’s only doing what I told her to,” Piper interjected as she rose from behind the desk Janelle was leaning on. Berkleigh’s brow crinkled at the sight of the young girl who had already caused her so much trouble in the short time their paths had crossed.

“Piper Van Nostrand - I don’t know what the hell to make out of you, but I’m in no mood right now - give me that file.”
