I don’t… I don’t know…,” Berkleigh choked out as tears began streaming down her face. The shop owner raised his hand up in front of the gun in a feeble attempt to stop any bullet that may be fired in his direction. 

“Now’s the time to figure that out. He’s not dead. I can patch him up, good as new. You haven’t crossed that line yet. Once you do, you can never go back,” Grimaldi crouched down to take a closer look at the owner’s wound as Berkleigh kept her eyes glued on her target. 

“My mother… she’s… she’s gone…”
