“I said I’ll take care of Mr. Van Nostrand. I would love a nice cup of Earl Grey though…,” Janelle released Claudia as she managed another weak smile. The woman backed away and nodded as she re-entered the sprawling residence. 

“How long do you think you can keep this up, my dear…?” an all-too familiar voice polluted Janelle’s ears as she whirled around to the back seat to find Van Nostrand seated peacefully just as she had left him.
