“God, how I’ve missed you…,” the formerly bandaged woman groaned as she lit a fresh cigarette and rested her head on the cracked leather seat of her car. She slowly exhaled, a mass of smoke escaping her mouth and filling the interior of the vehicle. 

“Doesn’t all that smoke irritate your… you know…?” 

“My shot-up excuse for a face? The list of things that don’t irritate it is a lot shorter than the list of things that does. You only live once… might as well smoke ‘em while you can,” the woman took another long drag off the cigarette - the polluted exclamation point to her statement.
