Chapter Eleven - The Sons of Van Nostrand

Amidst the screams of those around him and whatever the things were that were attacking them, Dr. Doyle Grimaldi was somehow able to collect his frenzied thoughts. Darkness surrounded them as something sharp ripped at his arms and torso, but he managed to make it to the corner of his operating theater. 

“What do you want with us?” Grimaldi managed to get out before he felt the same sharp sensation grasp at his neck. No matter how much he struggled, he could not stop the unseen, vicious assault. Then, as suddenly as it began, the attack stopped. Emergency lighting kicked in, bathing the room in severe crimson hues. Grimaldi grasped at his neck to see how badly he’d been injured as he surveyed the roo...
