September of 2016 marked the start of my favorite sporting season, professional football. There is something perfect about the NFL, with its equal parts of predictability and uncertainty spread over only five months. But this time was a little different for myself and wife, as we did have the little guy in our lives. He was around for the end of the previous season and was about as mobile as most three-hundred-pound linemen, which made viewing games mostly free of distraction.
