if he gets on solid food.  Right now, it’s too early to tell.  We just have to keep doing what we’re doing until he responds positively.  The tube can stay in for several months, up to two years.”

     “Several months to two years!  He can’t be here that long!  We need him at home with his family.”

     “I’m sorry, Mrs. Abrams.”

     “Stop telling me you’re sorry and do something more to help him, instead of letting him lay here.”

     “We’re doing all we can.”
