     Just as Cecily had closed her eyes and settled her head into her pillow, a doctor walked in carrying a clipboard, a ballpoint pen in his chest pocket behind his name tag.

     “Ms. Abrams.”

     Cecily opened her eyes and sat up.  She wondered why this doctor was bothering her.  She had just given birth, and was tired, and only wanted to sleep.

     “Ya?” Cecily answered.

     “We examined your baby and we have some questions to ask you.”

     “Okay.”

     “Did you drink alcohol during your pregnancy?”
