Ida told them.

     Sarah explained to her mama about the doctor giving them money.  When Ida asked the children if they were hungry or not, they all said yes.  It had been a little while since they had eaten their roast beef sandwiches.  Their mama gave them permission to get sodas and snacks, and one of each for her.
