wanted to try it one last time.  He could see the heartpain and depths of sadness in Ida.  Her grief was like nothing he had ever seen before.  The men tried the paddles one last time.  Isaac’s body jumped again, but the screeching quit, there was a beeping, and the straight line wasn’t straight with a line of death anymore.  Isaac’s heart was beating again!  He was alive!  Ida tried to catch her own breath while the men loaded her husband onto a gurney, strapped him on, and raced him out to the ambulance.  Lights on, and sirens blaring loudly, they sped him towards the road and up the main thoroughfare to the nearest hospital.

     The girls watched out the window as their papa was taken away in the ambulance.  Within mome...
