The next morning, Cecily woke to the sound of sirens and they seemed to quit right outside her door.  She looked out and saw that a cop had stopped a sports car in the parking lot next door to the restaurant.  Probably speeding, she thought. 

     All of a sudden, it hit her, and she ran to her bathroom, lifted the toilet seat and began heaving and throwing up.  Between breaks of vomiting, she moved the small carpet from in front of the sink, to in front of the toilet, so she could lay on it.  Groaning in headache and stomach pain, she weakly laid her head on the soft padding of the carpet.  She closed her eyes, and tried to lie as still as she could, because every time she opened her eyes, the bathroom was spinning around and ar...
