A sudden thought about her dat and brothers crossed her mind.  They usually stayed away from the mass farming community and stayed within their own Amish community with their food.  So, hopefully, her family wasn’t feeling such a severe pinch like other farmers were.  Cecily did know some Amish farmers that sell to the mass farming community, because Englishers wanted produce without insecticides and pesticides and growth hormones.  The Englishers would pay more money for those vegetables and fruits grown that way.
