his eyes until he could make a few tears fall on his cheeks.  He turned back around to face them and brushed the tears away.  He tried to look as dejected and depressed as he could muster up.  Isaac pressed in on Aaron’s shoulder a little more.

     “No, it wasn’t your fault,” Aaron told Ida.  “You thought she was ready for this.  We all pushed her to hard.  After all, she is only seventeen, not twenty, or twenty one, like the age of most of the brides here.”

     Aaron still kept quiet about the almost identical conversation her had had with Cecily a few days ago, and he wanted to keep it that way at all costs.  They mustn’t find out.  If they did find out, they’d most probably blame...
