     Once she passed the porch, she held her dress up to avoid the dirt, and puddles, and cried all the way home, her tears blurring her way, running about as fast as the buggy could drive.

     Cecily ran into the house, ran upstairs, and to her room.  She threw herself on her bed and sobbed, until she couldn’t anymore.  A thought hit her.  She sat up straight.  Quickly, she grabbed her suitcase, from under her bed, and packed whatever was left of her clothes, what hadn’t been moved to Aaron’s already, and stuffed them in.  In her drawer was the money her family had given her as a dowry.  She grabbed it, and put the envelope in her suitcase.  Hurrying downstairs, Cecily found a piece of paper and a worn down pencil with hardly...
