merely flicking the paintbrush back into the yellow pot and continued painting.

 

'It's a big boat', she observed. 'Any bookings yet?'

 

I nodded. There had been two bookings in total, but I didn't tell her.

 

'That's good. I'm glad'. She looked at me and smiled. 'Nice beard. I was expecting something more Iron Man, but you got a good Aragorn look going there'.

 

She was trying to be friendly, but the pleasantries annoyed me. I kept painting. “E”.
