arrived, but no words came out. Instead I felt a thick liquid dribble out of my mouth. Feeling exhausted, my heart was pumping rapidly my chest felt heavy. I just wanted all of this to be over.

            "Lindsey? Eddie? Conner? Are you guys alright?" she whimpered. She craned her neck to look in the backseat. Again, I tried to speak, but all that came out was the gurgling of blood in my mouth. She didn't seem to hear.

            "Y-yeah, I'm okay," Lindsey's shaken voice called back. "I hit my head, a-and I'm bleeding, but I think I’m okay."
