Taking advantage of a long weekend, we secretly flew to a luxurious resort in Mexico. It was secluded, quiet and couple oriented. The perfect relaxing getaway.

The original plan was to lounge daily on the beach, but when the opportunity to snorkel with whale sharks presented itself, we took it. Group tours were available, but safety regulations limited individual time in the water, so we hired a private speedboat.

We came prepared for rough seas, but the ginger-flavoured medication was no match for the waves. We bounced for hours before we found them. Jumping into the water helped, but severe nausea overtook us both and we began vomiting uncontrollably.

Somehow, we swam towards the group of feeding whale sharks and dunked our heads underwater. Words...
